One address, answered by a person
Write to us, and we will write back
There is no contact form on this site and no ticket robot behind it. Every enquiry goes to the same mailbox and is answered within one working day — including the ones that turn out not to be jobs for us.
How to reach us
Four reasons to write, one place to send it
Use the subject line that matches your enquiry — it decides which queue it lands in and how quickly we can give you a useful answer.
01
Book a repair diagnosis
A laptop, desktop or peripheral that is not behaving. Tell us the make, model and what it is doing, and we will reply with a slot and what to bring.
support@lanrigson.org02
IT support & maintenance
Ongoing cover for an office, studio or practice. Tell us roughly how many people and devices, and whether you need on-site visits.
support@lanrigson.org03
Advice or consultancy
Repair or replace, cloud or local, which licences are actually needed. A short description of the situation is enough to start.
support@lanrigson.org04
Hardware or software quote
Equipment specified against the work it has to do, quoted at supplier price plus a stated setup fee, built and handed over ready.
support@lanrigson.orgPrivacy, data protection and legal correspondence should also go to support@lanrigson.org, or by post to the registered office below.
A useful first email
Five lines save a day
You do not need to diagnose anything — that is our job. But a first email with these five things in it usually means the reply contains a real answer rather than a request for more information.
If you are not sure about any of them, write what you know. We would rather have a short honest description than a confident guess.
- What it is. Make and model if you can find it, or a photograph of the label underneath.
- What it does. The symptom in ordinary words — the noise, the message on screen, the moment it stops.
- When it started. After an update, a drop, a spill, a power cut, or apparently out of nowhere.
- Whether there is a backup. This changes the order of everything we do, so tell us even if the answer is no.
- How urgent it is. A machine a business is standing still without is treated differently from a spare one.

Please do not send passwords, card details or copies of identity documents by email. If a job needs a password, we will tell you how to hand it over safely at the point it is actually needed.

Contact questions
Because the workshop is small and the bench is where the work happens. Email means a fault description arrives complete, with photographs where they help, and it leaves both sides with a written record of what was agreed. Once a job is booked in, we are happy to arrange a call — we simply do not want the first contact to depend on catching someone between repairs.
Please write first. The address is a registered office and workshop rather than a shop counter, and attendance is by appointment so that a booked slot actually means bench time. Email a description of the fault and we will reply with a time, what to bring, and anything worth backing up before you come.
Within one working day of receiving your email, Monday to Friday. Enquiries that arrive over the weekend are answered on Monday. If a job is urgent — a business stopped, a deadline tonight — say so in the subject line and we will tell you honestly whether we can help in the time available.
For business customers in Greater London, yes, by arrangement — collection and return are quoted with the job rather than added afterwards. For individual customers we normally ask you to bring the machine in, because handing it over in person is also the quickest way to describe the fault.
It is used to answer you and to keep a record of the work, and nothing else. We do not add enquiries to a marketing list, sell contact details, or run analytics on this website. Correspondence is retained for as long as needed to support the job and meet legal record keeping, then deleted. The privacy notice sets out the detail and your rights under UK GDPR.
